The Creating Abundance Workshop

In 2011, I began a collaboration with a brilliant yoga teacher named Liz McDonald, creator and owner of Brazilian Yoga and Pilates.

Liz and I met when she signed up for my Psychic Meditation Class. She continued to study with me in the other classes I taught last year, and would always tell me that my classes helped her to clear out pain quickly, without moving a muscle. She could validate the healing effect on her body of using the psychic meditation techniques.

Liz also told me that she was coming up with yoga poses to compliment the techniques I was teaching, and that she was practicing this herself. We decided to put our two styles together into classes.

We began with the ‘Healing Your Feminine Energy Workshop’, which was a huge success, not to mention a lot of fun for us. We followed that with the ‘Chakra Series’. Each of these classes combined both of our specialties: my Psychic Meditation techniques and Liz’s yoga-pilates combination.

When you bring your body and spirit together, you create a deep and profound healing that will resonate throughout your whole life. Our classes are for everyone at every level, no previous experience is required.

Affinity is a spiritual ability

Affinity is a spiritual ability contained within the 4th chakra – an ability every bit as important as the abilities to be safe, feel energy, see clearly, and so on.

Each of your seven main chakras contains information about you and your abilities – survival, emotions, energy, affinity, communication, clairvoyance, knowingness – to name a few of your numerous spiritual abilities. The 4th chakra, also known as the heart chakra, is positioned in the middle of the 7 chakras running up the spine, right at the heart. This chakra is the bridge between the lower 3 body chakras and the upper 3 spirit chakras.

The 4th Chakra rules Affinity and Love – love of others, yourself, your creations. Learning to love each other is what we are working on now as human beings, along with learning to love ourselves. Many other energies work with affinity – forgiveness, gratitude, compassion, joy, peace, enthusiasm, happiness, trust, faith, are a few of these.

Being able to love and have affinity for yourself and others is indeed a spiritual ability.

When you are able to have ownership of your 4th chakra and the abilities contained there, you can feel well about yourself and others. Life has meaning and beauty. There is room for others to also have their 4th chakras working – no competition is necessary. There is no need for invalidation or judgment, and a feeling of self acceptance and acceptance of others makes life more fun, and easier.

Your 4th chakra is also where you work on your self image. This is very important, because how you see yourself is crucial to what you are able to have, create, and become in your life. When you see yourself as well, it’s easier to have wellness. When you see yourself as loveable, you can more effortlessly have and know love. If you see yourself as responsible for healing others and the world, then that is what you’ll create. Your 4th chakra might be running at the energy of pain if you take on the pain of others on a consistent basis, making it difficult for you to have your ability for yourself.

It is by becoming conscious of your own energy that you can start to open up and access your own abilities, for yourself. When you step onto the path of knowing who you are, you begin a beautiful lifelong adventure.

What can a daily meditation habit do for you?

If you are looking for one good habit to add to your life, try meditating regularly. You’ll benefit in more ways than you might imagine you can from such a simple practice.

A grounded meditation practice will help you to know who you are and where you’re at. If you’ve been running and running, and expect to continue doing so every day, meanwhile fueling yourself on caffeine, stress, guilt, worry, or some other toxic energy, your body and health will suffer. You will lose your precious energy by treating yourself this way. It can be much harder for you to create what it is you want if you don’t have enough energy or space to do so.

You can try something different today. Or tomorrow, or anytime. There is never a bad time to begin to meditate, and every time you do it helps you to do it again. If you practice grounding as part of your meditation, you have a way to release all of those toxic energies you’ve been taking on.

If you think you’re already too busy and don’t have the time to begin doing this, if you just can’t see adding one more thing to your list, consider this. The time you spend meditating will pay off in big ways, and in parts of your life you may not even imagine it doing so.

Meditation can help you to do the following: gain perspective, calm down, sleep better, let go, hear yourself, value your body, have more energy, heal yourself, think more clearly, create your new creations, manifest, let go of pain, enjoy being in the moment, be able to be present, hear music clearly, have more fun.

It also helps you to: come back to your senses, know yourself, give yourself permission to stop constantly doing, trust yourself, feel your feelings, know your own thoughts, ground yourself, communicate with the earth, become aware of your body, find peace within, relax, know what’s truly important to you. You may not be aware of the vast riches to be found within yourself, until you begin looking for them.

Meditation is not perfect, doesn’t need to be practiced perfectly, and you don’t need to be perfect to practice it. All you need to do is begin. Do it on your own, find a teacher, listen to a cd, create your own practice. There is no one right way to meditate. The trick is just to start.

How can meditation help you to be psychic?

The word Psychic is traditionally defined as ‘of or pertaining to, the human soul’.

A modern definition of psychic would add: ‘Being psychic means being sensitive to and aware of, energy’. Psychics read the energy of a person, place, event, or situation.

What is energy? Energy is the stuff we are all made of. It’s in everyone and everything. Every place has its own energy, as does every single human being. We are each unique, and it’s our spirit, our energy, that makes that so.

Since everything is made of energy, and everything begins as energy, this also means that everything you have or create begins with energy too. Included in this list would be your health, self image, relationships, money, career, creativity, level of happiness, and so on.

If you can learn how to become more conscious of the energy around and inside of you, you can have more of an awareness of yourself, and create your own life to be how you’d like it to be.

Being psychic is natural and human. Each human being possesses this ability, though not everyone is aware of having it, or even wants it. If you have a sensitivity to energy, you might feel what others are feeling, or you have gut feelings about people and events that come true. Perhaps you know what others are thinking or what they need before they tell you.

You may even feel so overly sensitive to other people’s energies that it’s difficult to fully live your life. When your sensitivity to energy is so pronounced that it’s uncomfortable to be you, it’s because you don’t have control of your own abilities. You can learn to protect yourself, to make yourself safe, and to gain control over your abilities.

Psychic abilities include intuition, clairaudience, clairvoyance, telepathy, mediumship, knowingness, and more. Each person will have access to their own abilities in a unique way, and when you embrace having psychic abilities as being normal and fun, a part of life, you open up to having more of you. You make it easier to effortlessly create what it is you want to have in your life.

How does meditation help you to be psychic?

Meditation is a way to know more about yourself, and find out who you are. It’s having a conversation within, and finding stillness and peace there. We are constantly driven outside of ourselves, often without stopping for a break from the maelstrom that is modern life. It can feel like one is swimming upstream against the current on those days when there is a lot of energy to handle in the world.

When you take time to meditate regularly, and in particular practice grounding and awareness of energy, you give yourself more space as a result. When you are moving non stop through your life, you will easily lose your space, and your energy along with it.

Learning the difference between your energy, and the energies you’ve taken on that aren’t yours, is priceless. Once you begin to let go of foreign energy that has been sitting in your space, you will lighten your load, heal your body and spirit, let go of pain, free yourself up to create what it is you do want. Once you become conscious of what you’ve agreed to let yourself have or take on, you can decide to change the rules you live by, in order to make it easier for you to be you.

Grounding yourself, replenishing with your own energy, finding neutrality within, letting go of energies you’ve taken on that aren’t yours, knowing where your own energy is and defining your boundaries, moving the blocks out of your way, and effortlessly manifesting – are all things you can learn to do easily. Back to meditation and being psychic. Once you become more conscious of energy, and in particular your own energy, it becomes easier for you to safely turn on and have access to your own psychic abilities. Everything begins with grounding and being safe, including having your own abilities working for you. It’s difficult to open up to those sensitive levels of being psychic if you’re afraid you’ll take on energy that might hurt you. Learn to ground, define, and protect your space first, and the rest will easily follow.

Making it easier for you – to be you

You can simplify your life, and make it less complicated to be you. When you take care of your own energy system, the rest of life goes more smoothly.

This isn’t to say that everything will always be easy, all of the time, if you do this. But if you know the difference between what is your energy and what isn’t, life gets a whole lot simpler.

Think about the energy and time you’ve spent trying to solve problems you could never solve. Not only can this kind of thing waste your energy, it’s also expensive, invalidating, and can wear you down. Whether you can solve a problem or not has nothing to do with how good you are at problem solving, or how resourceful or smart. It has everything to do with whether it’s even your problem to begin with.

Here’s a simple way to decide whether you can solve a problem or not: ask yourself if you even created it to begin with. If you didn’t, you can’t solve it, no matter how good you are.

If you keep trying and trying to solve problems for others and the world at large, you might be spending buckets of energy in doing so. The more energy you send out there, into things having nothing to do with you or your own life, the less you’ll have available to create solutions for the things you can do something about.

There are things you do have power over, and things you don’t. It’s a good idea to learn the difference, so that you know where to spend your valuable energy in order to get the best return. If you keep giving it away, there’ll be none left for you when you want it.

The areas of your life affected by spending your energy carelessly include: your physical, emotional, and financial health, relationships, career, vocation, creativity, enthusiasm and joy. So, pretty much all of it.

Many people would never waste their money foolishly, yet they don’t see their own energy as being even more valuable than any amount of money. Your energy is priceless, and if you treat it as such, you’ll have plenty to work with. If you’re spending your energy each day trying to hold together those things that really do need to fall apart, you’re wasting your time, and energy.

Some things need to fall apart. We are in a time of Letting Go. That’s one skill many people are practicing now, and it’s a very good one to add to your repertoire. If you hold onto everything tightly as it’s trying to slip away, you’re also holding back the new creations. You’re in resistance, fear, and maybe a bit of unconsciousness. Everything changes, and what is being created now is a whole new world. Rather than resist it or fear it, begin by creating a new world within yourself. Start by becoming aware of your own unique energy. You are truly one of a kind!

What is grounding, and what can it do for you?

Grounding is a technique you can use to make yourself feel safe and real.

When you ground yourself to something stable and neutral like the earth itself, you create a sense of peace and wellness throughout your entire being. The earth is healing for you; you come from the earth, and it is your birthright to work with the earth to heal yourself.

Because grounding makes things real, it can also make your body real. Especially when you’re going through times of great stress and anxiety, being able to ground your body has a profound effect on everything you feel, experience, have, and create for yourself. When you or your body are feeling unwell or unsafe, it’s hard to know where you are. Your energy gets scattered, you might feel completely unable to manifest or create anything you want, instead attracting uncomfortable energies that feel harmful to you.

Grounding protects you. If you’re connected to the earth by grounding yourself to it, you have a way to safely release any energies you might have picked up in your day to day life. The tool you can use to ground yourself with is called a grounding cord. This is simply a line of energy you create to connect your lower body deep into the earth.

Working with earth energy is another way to connect yourself to the earth. Being outside in nature, under the sun and standing on the earth, can help you come back to yourself and remember who you are.

Learning how to ground yourself, and practicing the technique every day, will go far towards helping you to achieve the goals you have for yourself. Grounding can help you to know who you are and be safe enough to be that, create your new creations, let go of the past, forgive and move on from old hurts.

Grounding is the miracle

Grounding is a way of connecting your body to the earth. By using this technique, you create more space within yourself, and open up a myriad of possibilities. Grounding is a technique that continues to grow for you, the more you practice it.

Some of what you can create for yourself includes the following:

1. Protect yourself from unwanted energies. When you consciously ground yourself, you can also release any energies you take on from others, just in the normal course of living your life. This is especially helpful if you happen to be sensitive to energy, if you work with people in a healing capacity, or work with the public a lot.

2. Peace within yourself. Agitation, stress, depression, fatigue, and anxiety do not come from your own true energy. Your own true energy, when in health within you, creates a sense of calm and peace. Grounding can help you have this within you.

3. Have access to your own abilities. When you ground yourself, you are safe enough to have your own natural abilities working for you. Your abilities include your intuition, clairvoyance, telepathy, communication, creativity, and many others.

4. Be certain about your next move. Grounding can help you clear out doubt or confusion about taking a step. Sometimes that doubt is not even yours, it comes through other people and may have nothing to do with you. By releasing that energy, you can have your own natural certainty.

5. Have permission to change. Grounding makes it safer for you to change. Even while going through times of great upheaval and change, grounding can make it easier for you to be safe while doing so.

6. Stop being a pushover. Literally, stand your ground. When you ground, it’s harder to push you in directions you don’t want to go in. It is harder to control you when you have your own grounding.

7. Heal yourself. You can use grounding to release energies that create illness, disease, fatigue. Your own true energy does not create those things. You can let go of the energies that do.

8. Trust yourself. Grounding makes it easier to know who you are, and to trust yourself. You can let go of any invalidation in the way of you having trust for yourself, when you are able to ground.

9. Sleep more soundly. Release the energy of your day before retiring for the night; you will sleep better, and wake more relaxed.

10. Know your own energy. Grounding yourself regularly will help you begin to know the difference between what is truly your energy, and what isn’t. When you have this awareness, it makes it easier for you to discern between which are your problems to solve, and which aren’t.
