“Deep Night” again, with some details below. I’ve tried to get good details of colors and intensity. The shot below has a good detail of the metallic gold in this piece, as well as the interference violet.
The colors here are some of my favorites, on a very emotional level. I say that so many colors are my favorites, I know! It depends on what day it is. Today I love: purples, golds, browns, magentas. Tomorrow I may need a lot of green. It depends on what I want to balance, it’s all very intuitive. What feels good today, what looks good on me today?
The shiny edges help you see the vinyl surface of this piece.
Every painting is signed, usually in the lower right hand corner. Because I am painting in reverse, I sign very early into painting the piece, writing backwards in the lower left hand corner on the reverse side.
This is from the “Energy Series”. I have painted 16 or so small pieces in this series so far. They are all on 1.5″ thick wooden frames, gallery wrapped, wired and ready to hang.
This has been one of the wildest energy weeks I’ve handled in a long time. I knew it was coming, as I had already decided to begin advertising the classes I will be teaching. I have two scheduled so far, including the one I am gearing toward performers. There will be more coming soon.
I am beginning with Grounding workshops. Here are the details for the first two. Let me know if you would like to join.
Grounding: A Meditation Workshop – Monday, March 31 – 7:00-9:30PM
At: Your Way CPR, 12410 Burbank Blvd., Suite 201 Valley Village, CA 91607
Cost: $30.
AND
Grounding For Performers – Thursday, April 3 – 7:00-9:30PM
At: IO West, 6366 Hollywood Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90028
Cost: $30.
What is grounding and what can it do for you? I’m glad you asked!
Grounding is the beginning step toward healing yourself and accessing your abilities. And getting to use them for yourself. As you start using this valuable tool, you can create great possibilities for yourself: heal your body, know your spirit, manifest your dreams. Become aware of and release unwanted energies that can get in your way. Regain access to the unique spirit of you!
In “Grounding For Performers”, you will be learning how to use grounding to help you in your career as an actor, improviser, musician, speaker, teacher, etc. Included in this workshop: “Sixty Seconds Before the Audition”.
If you are interested in signing up for this class, comment and let me know, or email me at kris@kriscahill.com.

Thanks for your kind words over at my place, I appreciate it. Love this work, the colors are my favorites too. (well, today anyway)
I wish I was closer I’d so take the grounding class, I could use a primer on that again. Have a great weekend.
A chaste and platonic hug. This one is like being inside a jewel – strong and yet peaceful.
Another chaste and platonic hug, what the heck.
Hi Kris,
I love the colors of this piece! These are my favorite colors, except for when I’m in a RED mood:)
I love all of your work, and the process.
question: What do you use to adhere the painting to canvas when it is completed?
Have a wonderful weekend. I wish I could take one of your grounding classes. I would love to be more in touch with that side of me.
I just want to say that if there’s anyone out there contemplating taking a class with Kris, DO IT! DO IT NOW! It will change your life. I mean it.
Kris will show you how to use the tools you did not know you had, to ground, to find your space, to heal yourself. Amazing stuff. I wish I could do it all over again. But really, thanks to Kris, I use those tools everyday.
Just take a second look at her paintings. Can’t you see they are showing you something wonderful? You can tap into that energy too!
i wish i were closer to take one of your classes. i am feeling the desire for further opening….
as for your art. well, the colors in this painting really speak to me. i’ve been attracted to working with these colors, though i want to wear colors brighter than this. i suspect these dark jewel colors have something to do with that desire for opening (higher level chakra stuff)
yummmmmmy!

I love your beautiful piece of art. The colors and the effects are all very nice and interesting. <3
I was lurking yesterday and having a good look at that painting and wishing I could come and take a class. I doubt there is anything like it where I live.
I normally don’t much care for those colors, but they certainly make me think of midnight and moonless skies with just some sparkling stars in them and velvety evening gowns and candle light.
See, you make me go all romantic and I pride myself on my soberness.
It would be lovely to have silk sheets in those colors and to make love between them.
