OK, I’m not really out to sea, but the title of this painting really does remind me of the few times I’ve been sailing. Helpful Hint: Bring Ginger Ale. It really works.
I have been very busy this week, and it’s all good. I’m working on my upcoming Meditation classes I will be teaching beginning March 31. The first class is nearly filled, and I’ve hardly done anything except send out an email to 20 or so people who told me they were interested. Many of them signed up. If only selling paintings was this easy.:) I think I’ll decide it is! So there…!
I am developing a class specifically geared towards performers: actors, improvisers, musicians, stand up comics, speakers, teachers, etc. Yes, teachers are performers. If you are one, you know what I mean. Tomorrow I go work out a schedule for that class over at IO West, on Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood. This is an exciting step for my teaching, and I look forward to it. LA is the place to teach such a class. IO West is a vibrant and successful theatre with a big following and a learning center. I picture a class like this working well in such an environment.
The energy is hissing, popping, and humming along. And I haven’t even watched any of the returns from Texas and Ohio yet! Looking forward to that. Change is in the air, guaranteed. And that is what my classes will be about, change.
I remember something I heard as a kid. My father said to one of his friends who was complaining about getting older, “If you don’t like your birthday, consider the alternative.” I have always been amused by that thought. I think of it as change will happen whether anyone agrees with it or not. It’s helpful to have some say in it, and becoming aware of energy is a great way to do that.
If you are interested in knowing more about upcoming classes, and/or in joining one, please let me know. I have just added a Classes link on my website, HERE, and will be adding more information soon.

I especially like these flowers and they are so well done, that at first looking at them, it seems like digital art, but I don’t know if that is a compliment, although it is meant as one. It looks like you can just pick those flowers up off the canvas.
Good luck getting your classes organized. How brave you are to do this and how very much you must believe in yourself. I doubt very much that I would have that much courage.
We in the Netherlands follow the primaries also with much interest and we have our favorite too. It makes keeping up with the whole thing very exciting and a bit scary too, because we don’t know what the outcome will be.
These flowers rock! I love the detail, and the free floating blue, yuuuummmy!
Congrat’s on the classes, that sounds great. I wish I could take a class with you, that would be very cool…have you ever thought of teaching online? I mean you have a camera and everything, you could do live casts or pod casts and I bet people would sign up for that too. Just a thought…you are so right, change she is a coming!
Much energy and I can see the flowers moving with a refreshing breeze – I really like the one furthest to the right – I play favorites.
You are a dynamo.
Kris –
I love this painting. So beautiful. I am out to sea! But what a way to go. So happy to hear that you are teaching meditation out there.
I wish I could do it all over again. You are the best teacher I ever had, and I’m talking all the way through since kindergarten, although, I did like sleeping on my rug during nap time!

I love this painting. There is lots of energy in this one. It made me smile and think of this past summer when I went open ocean sailing with my girlfriends and we sailed from San Diego to San Onofre. I was soooooo out- to -sea SICK. We laughed alot. The swells were miserable, but I still love sailing. Just think I’ll stay in protected waters next time.
Glad you’re gearing up for class.
Enjoy your week!
Thanks everyone for your visit and comment. It has been an extraordinarily busy week, and I haven’t been as bloggy as usual. soon I will be back.
I have a little award waiting for you over at my place.
Where art thou, Juliet?
Kris I missed these flowers when they were fresh, but they look no worse for the wear. They make my eyeballs happy. I like the dreamy idea that flowers could grow sitting on the sea like that. New meaning for sea anemone, maybe?
I went to Cafe Press thinking about maybe buying some blank cards of this painting. I’m sorry there weren’t any, but if you ever decide to put some cards on, I’d love to buy some. When my ship comes in (floating on that beautiful blue sea), I’m going to buy one of your paintings.
Hi Kris,
Great painting – I love it!! Good luck with your classes … you are a wonderful teacher I am sure!
